Our Team

Mind-Body Approaches to Mental Health

We are a clinic founded by Dr. Andy Hahn. He and Joan Beckett are Principals of the clinic. We currently have four graduate students who are associates working under Andy’s supervision. As holistic therapists, we all utilize Life Centered Therapy with our clients.

At Life Centered Therapy, we believe in integrative mental health, which means addressing emotional, physical, and energetic patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Through somatic therapy and other mind-body approaches, our therapists help you release trauma stored in the nervous system, calm the mind, and reconnect with your inner strength.

FAQ Holistic Therapy Specialists

(People Also Ask)

What Is a Holistic Therapist?

A holistic therapist looks at the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—rather than just focusing on symptoms. What makes a therapist holistic is their ability to integrate traditional techniques with body-based healing and alternative approaches like energy psychology or breathwork therapy. The goal is not just to reduce distress, but to create balance, resilience, and lasting wellness.

What makes a therapist holistic?

A holistic therapist combines traditional training with whole-person healing methods like mindfulness, somatic practices, and energy psychology, tailoring therapy to each individual.

What conditions can holistic therapy treat?

Holistic therapy can support recovery from trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship struggles, and mind-body concerns by integrating both mental and physical approaches to care.

Is holistic therapy evidence-based?

Yes. While some approaches like somatic therapy and mindfulness have extensive scientific support, others such as energy psychology and breathwork therapy are emerging practices with growing research behind them. We integrate these methods thoughtfully, always prioritizing safety, compassion, and effectiveness.
